Purple!

The lavender is just starting to emerge! The different types around the house are stretching to the sun and forming little buds. Yesterday we visited our friends' lavender patch which looks like a warm green cushion with bluey purple velvet stripes.

I am middle aged. My partner is Stuart. I have no children of my own but I do share 2 stepchildren and 4 nieces and nephews. I love words. In 2008, my partner and I purchased a 200 year old stone house and 5 acres of forest surrounding it in Piemonte, Italy. We spent the next year dreaming about it before we tossed our global careers to the wind and moved there. We have recently counted our pennies again, resigned and returned to our little slice of history in Italy.
